COMMUNITY MENTAL HEALTH TRAINER 

MHSA/PEI

Salary: $51,623 - $59,366

Identify and evaluate strategies that promote and effect mental health wellbeing; develop curriculum to address communities' needs and interests in the areas of mentlal health, either directly or corroboratively, will provide training to communites on mental health and wellbeing, assist in required quarterly reports, annual updates, and other analyses and evaluation for the assigned program.  Engaging and organizing wide range of community groups, effectively translate communities'' activities and goals into coherent actions steps that can be evaluated.

BA required in psychology, social work, education; 6 years experience preferred in community mental health, teaching. Bilingual Spanish or Vietnamese a plus. Public Speaking helpful.

MHSA Program Coordinator  Innovations Program

Salary: $58,076 - $92,921

Assist in the design, implementation, and coordination of the INN plan.  Assist in the quarterly reports, annual updates and evaluations for INN program, recommend program updates to correspond with consumer and community needs. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of MHSA regulations, policies and procedures that govern program operations, disseminate knowledge to staff and ensure compliance on a continuous basis.

 for Wellness Center

Salary: $43,000 - $56,000

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve problems with software, desktop computers, printers, peripherals, desk phones, and cell phones. Track service calls and report on a weekly basis the status of service calls.  Install computer hardware and setup phones.  Fundamental network and server knowledge.  Assist staff members with any computer/network/phone issues.  Fundamental knowledge of digital photography.  Set up audio visual equipment as needed. Maintain HIPPA compliance and protect patient health information.

Degree preferred in Computer Information Services. 1 year experience preferred in network support. Customer service, digital photography, cell phones; protable digital equipment knowledge a plus.

Mental Health Rehab Specialist II or III 

PEI Gardening Program

Salary: $19 - $25/hour

To provide support , skills development to individuals enrolled in the therapeutic community gardening program.  Will work in an urban farm setting along side clinical therapist with groups of individuals and multifamily groups using the framework of horticulture/farming as the therapy intervention to promote mental health stability.  Will work with children, teens/young adults and adults with range of psychiatric diagnoses from mild to severe.

BA/BS required. 4 years experience required in mental health field. Computer skills required. Bilingual Spanish or Korean or Vietnamese required.  Knowledge preferred but not required in working with groups; gardening/farming; Recovery Model of mental health treatment a plus.

PSYCHIATRIC TECH I OR II

For Children/Teens

Salary: $36,000 - $52,000 DOQ

In collaboration with Agency's psychiatrists provide all manner of adjunctive medication support services, including medication monitoring, non-prescription medication support;clinical case management and crisis intervention to children, teens, and young adults with severe emotional disturbance or persistent mental illness. Staff will be required to become certified to evaluate clients for involuntary 72-hour holds, as well as provide rehabilitation skills/social skills, interventions to individuals, families and groups. Must have ability to administer injectable mediatications under doctor's orders.  Will be required to be on-call one week out of every 5 -6 weeks.

Must have completed a Psych-Tech Program and hold a Psych Tech license. One year experience required in mental health setting. Computer experience with Electronic Health Record preferred. Bilingual Spanish/English preferred. Professional experience working with children/young adults preferred.  Knowledge of county mental health procedures, documentation and the Recovery Model of mental illness a plus.

COMMUNITY NAVIGATOR 

Salary: $15.89 -$20.65

Engage with people who need services and their families to help them quickly identify currently available services, including formal and informal supports and services tailored to the particular culture, ethnic, age, and gender identity of those seeking them.  Recruit community-based organizations, faith-based organizations, and other community groups to become part of an active locally-based support network for people challenged by mental health issues. Follow up with people with whom they have engaged to ensure they connected with support structures and received help. Be a team player and work in environment that requires communication and engagement with other staff.

BA preferred in Psychology, Sociology or related field.  1-2 years experience preferred in lived mental health environment.  Bilingual preferred in Vietnamese or Spanish. Personal or professional experience with mental health issues.  Experience working in or with community and non-profit orgaizations, and working with people who need services and their families, as is an ability to work with and earn the trust of individuals and groups across different income levels. Possess valid CA driver license, a satisfactory driving record, and a properly registered and insured vehicle.  Receive satisfactory results from a background investigation, which includes fingerprinting; a pre-employment physical exam, which includes a drug/alcohol test; and an administratvie interview.

Oversees day to day operations of AOP team; clinical and administrative supervision of clinicians and case managers, group supervision for unlicensed clinicians, some direct practice including psychotherapy, psychosocial rehabilitation, clinical case management, crisis interventions, on-call rotation, collaboration with other departments and entities.

PSYCHIATRIST

For Adult Services

Salary:$205,687-$253,147

Provide medication services to adults, ages 18+, who have severe and persistent mental illness. Responsible to work with multi-disciplinary team to provide effective and high quality behavioral healthcare  to residents of Pomona, Claremont and La Verne.

MD required. Psychiatrist and DEA licenses in CA required; two  years’ experience required in community mental health setting. Bilingual preferred in Spanish, Vietnamese, Cantonese, Korean or Khmer. DMH paperwork experience and Electronic Health Record/Welligent, a plus.

All Tri-City Mental Health Center regular, full-time employment positions are subject to a 12-month probationary period.  Prior to appointment, candidates must satisfactorily complete pre-employment requirements, which may include any combination of the following:
