Salary: $42,640.40 - $55,433.06 Annually
Assess participants and family members to determine their needs and problems to link them to suitable support groups and resources (link them to outside agencies, organizations or departments as appropriate). Carry out socializing/ rehabilitation activities: as assigned, be responsible to develop/ implement a specific rehabilitation activity; function as a team member of the Wellness and Recovery Center participating in all aspects of the center's programming (ie, recreation, social/ daily living skills, education and training activities, clean up). May function as interim group leader, or facilitator and transport participants as necessary or assigned. Perform Crisis intervention counseling at a level not requiring licensure as a mental health professional. Ensure records are in compliance with federal, state, local and agency regulations for records including Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
Mental Health Rehabilitation Specialist I: Associate’s degree and at least six years experience in a mental health setting in the areas of physical restoration, social adjustment, or vocational adjustment. Associate’s degree is not required if duties do not include providing direct client billable services.
Mental Health Rehabilitation Specialist II: Bachelor’s degree and at least four years experience in a mental health setting in the areas of physical restoration, social adjustment, or vocational adjustment.
Mental Health Rehabilitation Specialist III: Master’s degree and at least two years experience, OR bachelor’s degree and six years experience, in a mental health setting in the areas of physical restoration, social adjustment, or vocational adjustment.
Must have computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel. Must have strong customer service skills; ability to work in a team environment; ability to follow directions. Bilingual Spanish strongly preferred.
