Description

The Mental Health Worker I/II will assist Therapists and Mental Health Rehabilitation Specialist staff in formulating Mental Health programs and implementing specific groups under supervision. Provide office and field base behavioral, skill building, case management, crisis support. They will maintain a caseload that includes groups and individuals support around solutions to challenges that are disruptive to client’s mental health; such as housing, employment and education. Complete DMH documentation, assist clients and families with community resources, participate in on call rotation. Able to  transport clients to appointments and outside facilities as necessary or as assigned.

Ideal Candidate

REQUIRED: Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent, as well as at least 2 years in the Mental Health field. Must be Bilingual in either Spanish or Vietnamese. Must possess a current valid Class C California Driver License, a satisfactory driving record. Must be a team player, have great patience and flexibility, as well as good customer service skills.

PREFERRED: Experience working with children in community mental health setting. Experience in Microsoft Word and/or Welligent (Electronic Health Records) is a desired. Related courses or LPT License is a plus. Bilingual in either Spanish or Vietnamese
