We are pleased to announce the appointment of Ontson Placide, MA, LMFT, as the Executive Director of Tri-City Mental Health Authority (Tri-City).
With over 30 years of extensive experience in community behavioral health and social services, Ontson Placide is a dedicated professional committed to operational excellence in both public and private/non-profit community agencies. He is passionate about delivering innovative, best-practice services to the most vulnerable adults, youth, and families within the safety net system of care. Mr. Placide actively participates in several community and county advisory councils, advocating for the well-being of adults, children, and families.
He earned his Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and a Master's degree in Clinical Counseling Psychology from Pepperdine University. Since 1993, he has been a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the State of California.
As the newly appointed Executive Director, Mr. Placide will provide strategic direction, coordination, and support across Tri-City’s comprehensive system of care, ensuring that the agency continues to meet the evolving needs of the community. This includes a range of services that address mental health, wellness, and recovery, including specialty mental health services, crisis support, clinical case management, medication support, prevention and early intervention services, supportive housing services, and peer support. He will also oversee an agency of more than 200 employees and manage an annual operating budget of approximately $40 million to successfully coordinate its comprehensive local community mental health services.
