Psychiatric Advance Directives (PADs) Information Night
Thursday, October 20, 2022, 06:00pm - 07:00pm

What are Psychiatric Advanced Directives (PADs)?

A Psychiatric Advanced Directive (PAD) is a legal document allowing a person with a mental health condition to identify their preferences regarding treatment, in case of a future mental health crisis in which they might not be able to make their own decisions. PADs serve to protect and empower a person's autonomy and ability to self-direct care.

Do you work for local Law Enforcement, First Responders, Hospitals or Crisis Teams?

Please join us to discuss Tri-City Mental Health's new innovative project, Psychiatric Advance Directives, and how PADs can provide critical engagement information for crisis workers, hospitals and first responder personnel. Your valuable input can impact PADs in our service area of Pomona, Claremont and La Verne.

        • How does your organization interact with people with serious mental health conditions?
        • How will a PAD address the logistics and resource challenges posed by transition age youth ages 16-25?
        • How may a PAD increase coordination within and across systems of care?
